Keawakapu Beach Sunsets

One Heavenly Kiss

My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay ten days on Keawakapu Beach in Kihei, Maui, HI.
It was really dumb luck that we found this beach.

On a previous trip to Maui a few years ago, we were looking for a nice beach on a windy day in Maui. After getting sand blasted at several of the north Kihei beaches we found a public park on the south end of Keawakapu beach. Because the beach was tucked back inland just a bit, the wind wasn't bad and the further north we went on the beach, the better it got.

We loved Keawakapu beach so much, we came back two years later and got married on it. We had ten days of perfect weather. Our wedding day was the hottest and most overcast, but this made for a very dramatic sunset wedding on the beach.  Awesome!

Sunsets were a big part of every day for us on this trip. It gave us a chance to just sit and enjoy each others company in the presence of one of Gods greatest creations. Keawakapu Beach is truly heaven on earth.
